Call of the Wild: The Angler Taste of Tomatito Mission Guide

To complete the Taste of Tomatito mission in Call of the Wild: The Angler, speak with Karim Molina at the Aguas Claras starting outpost. Travel to the marked dam, photograph it, find the Tomatito lure, and then catch any bronze-ranked fish or better while using that lure.

How to start Taste of Tomatito

Begin at the starting outpost in Aguas Claras and speak with shopkeeper Karim Molina. Taste of Tomatito is the first mission connected with the Three Square Meals achievement.

Once the mission is active, follow the objective marker toward the dam.

Step 1: Travel to the marked location

Follow the mission marker from the starting outpost to the designated location near the dam. Make sure Taste of Tomatito is selected as your active mission so the correct marker appears.

Step 2: Photograph the dam

When you reach the marked area, open the in-game camera and take a photograph of the dam. Remain inside the objective area and confirm that the mission updates before moving on.

Step 3: Find the Tomatito lure

Search the mission area for the interaction prompt and collect the Tomatito lure.

If the lure does not appear in your backpack, check your storage. When your backpack is full, the game can send the mission lure directly to storage. Retrieve it before attempting the final objective.

Step 4: Catch a bronze-ranked fish with Tomatito

Open your tackle setup and equip the Tomatito lure. Catch any bronze-ranked fish or better in Aguas Claras.

The mission does not require one particular fish species. The important requirements are:

• The Tomatito lure must be equipped.
• The fish must be bronze-ranked or higher.
• The catch must be completed after the corresponding mission objective becomes active.

Common mistakes to avoid

• Catching the fish with a different lure.
• Landing a fish below bronze rank.
• Forgetting to retrieve Tomatito from storage when the backpack was full.
• Leaving the dam before the photograph objective registers.
• Attempting the catch before the final mission objective activates.

Completing the mission awards:

• 10 Aguas Claras reputation
• 100 XP
• 50 credits

After Taste of Tomatito, continue the mission chain with the Cream of Camarón mission and then Lucía’s Day. Completing all three missions unlocks the Three Square Meals achievement.
